MEET OUR TEAM

William is a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur, and talent architect with over a decade of senior leadership experience across for-profit, social enterprise, and INGO environments in Africa. His work sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, leadership development, and organizational design—the very capabilities that TalentIn Africa exists to strengthen within growing organizations.

William has led complex, high-growth operations across Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the Seychelles Republic, working primarily with startups and scaling organizations operating in dynamic, resource-constrained markets. Across these contexts, he has consistently been trusted with roles that require building from zero, fixing what is broken, scaling what works, and developing leaders who can sustain growth.

He has served in transformative executive roles, including Managing Director at Educate!, where he currently oversees country strategy and end-to-end operations in Rwanda while also leading Kenya Country Operations. In these roles, William has been responsible for translating strategy into execution, strengthening management pipelines, driving performance, stewarding culture, and ensuring organizational readiness for scale. His leadership has required balancing impact, financial discipline, people development, and risk management—often simultaneously.

Previously, William served as Chief Operating Officer in Nigeria, leading operations in one of Africa’s most complex business environments, and held senior leadership roles within the renewable energy sector, including with Solar Kiosk, where he supported market expansion and operational scale across East Africa. Earlier in his career, he was the first Country Operations Manager at Copia Kenya, where he helped build foundational systems, teams, partnerships, and operating rhythms during the company’s formative years.

Beyond executive leadership, William is a serial entrepreneur and builder. He is the Founder of Zanna Bakehouse, a fast-growing food and events brand, and Zanna Steel Craft, a fabrication venture serving Kenya’s construction and manufacturing ecosystem. These businesses ground his advisory work in lived entrepreneurial experience—not theory.
William is also the author of The Big Leap, a practical book for emerging entrepreneurs that draws from his real-world experience navigating leadership, failure, growth, and scale across African markets.

TalentIn Africa was born directly from this journey. After years of watching organizations struggle—not because of bad strategy, but because of weak leadership systems, poor role clarity, fragile culture, and underdeveloped managers—William founded TalentIn to help organizations build strong leaders, design effective organizations, recruit the right talent, and manage change with intention. TalentIn’s work reflects what he has practiced: clear accountability, strong managers, disciplined execution, and people systems that enable performance.

William holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media (Maseno University), is currently pursuing an MBA in Global Business Management (USIU), and is a CPA(K) candidate. He also holds a Mini-MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Sinapis/Acton School of Business Entrepreneurship Academy.
